An Ed Carpenter Sculpture
I was privileged to work at Puritan Manufacturing in Omaha, Nebraska. I started as a shop-floor welder+fitter, then quickly transitioned to fill the role of Quality Assurance Manager and Production Manager. While in the role, I took on more and more responsibility, ultimately covering three full-time positions.
The work experience was a platform for growth, personally and professionally. I became a certified welding inspector (CWI) with the American Welding Society while also gaining experience managing a diverse group of people, each with a unique skill-set and extensive experience in their craft.
Since Puritan Mfg. is a niche custom metal fabricator, I got to work on many interesting projects. On any given day, I was involved in projects comprised of structural steel, ducting and spouting, floats for the Macy’s day parade, sculptures, and everything in-between.
