In 2014, a new pipe was being installed to service the finished drinking water at Little Rock, AR’s water treatment plant.
The crew installing the pipe needed to core drill a section of concrete which then fell into the drinking water and needed to be recovered.
Dry Suit Diving
In a situation like this, to prevent contamination, I wore a dry suit which seals my body off from the water. The dry suit was then washed before I entered the water to recover the concrete chunk!
You can see how hot I was by the fog/condensation inside the dive hat!
This was a quick dive, but its cool to say I dove in the finished drinking water for Little Rock, AR!
